HIGH COURT TO GIVE VERDICT ON GALWAY STUDENTS CASE

The High Court is due to give a verdict this week on a case taken by three third level students in Galway and Dundalk.

The students, supported by the Union of Students in Ireland, want cuts to the Higher Education Maintenance Grant reversed.

One is a third year, female student attending NUI Galway, the second is a female mature student at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and the third is a second year male student attending Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Mr.Justice Hedigan will deliver his verdict on the challenge taken by the students against the Minister for Education and skills on Weednesday (April 25@11)
