HIGH COURT RULES AGAINST BALLINASLOE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The High Court has ruled against the Ballinasloe business community in its appeal to the town enhancement scheme.

The proposed multi million euro scheme was adopted by the Town council late last year despite opposition from the business sector.

Ballinasloe chamber of commerce and Ballinasloe business alliance felt the plan was fundamentally flawed.

However, Ballinasloe chamber of commerce has lost its legal challenge to have the scheme quashed.
