HELP SOUGHT IN IDENTIFYING MAN WHOSE BODY WAS TAKEN FROM THE CORRIB

Gardai are asking for the public’s help in identifying the body of a man taken from the River Corrib in the city on Saturday morning

The man is thought to be young and Irish but four days on he has not been indentified

He was rescued from the water a mile south of the docks on Saturday just before 10am when attempts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead

Sgt Peadar Ryan of Mill Street station says the gardai are very anxious to identify the man and contact his family
