TAN, a brand new comedy presented by Limerick’s Wildebeest Theatre Company, is coming to the inaugural Galway Fringe Festival from July 12-14. The show is written and performed by Wildebeest’s Marie Boylan and Ann Blake of Limerick’s Choke Comedy Improv and The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra. It is and directed by well-known actor/director Myles Breen of Bottom Dog and Choke Comedy.

TAN premiered last February to a sell out run in The Loft in Limerick and returned in June, when it again sold out.

In TAN Marie and Ann play Aisling and Siobhán, who are getting ready for a night on the town. That involves putting on their make-up, discussing the ‘lads’, ordering the taxi, straightening the hair, then backcombing the hair, drinking the vodka, bitching about their friends and applying the all important fake tan!

TAN is an energetic comedy that offers an amusing, somewhat disturbing insight into what can go on when girls are getting ready for a night out.

Irish Theatre Magazine described it as “sharp and funny . . .an energetic romp about friendship and female bonding”.

TAN will be running in The Cube in NUIG at 8pm from July 12-14. For more information see www.galwayfringe.ie/
