Health Minister urged to review Connemara nursing home investigation

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Minister for Health is being urged to investigate claims surrounding the quality of care at a private nursing home in Connemara.
The matter regarding Áras Cois Fharraige, An Spidéal was raised in the Seanad by Sinn Féin Senator Trevor O’ Clochartaigh today. (17/7)
An investigation into the claims by two whistleblowers is underway by the Health, Information and Quality Authority, HIQA.
Senator O’ Clochartaigh says he understands that the two whistleblowers have been suspended on foot of bringing the allegations about the quality of care.
Speaking in the Seanad, Senator O’ Clochartaigh urged the Health Minister Leo Varadkar to look into the situation at the nursing home.
