HEALTH MINISTER MISSES MEETING DUE TO CITY GRIDLOCK
Date Published: 18-Feb-2012
The Health Minister Dr James Reilly was forced to cancel a key meeting with Hospice in Galway yesterday [Feb 17] due to traffic gridlock in the city.
Minister Reilly was due to meet the CEO and board members of Hospice Galway to discuss funding issues.
He was also visiting the city for a meeting with GUH CEO Bill Maher at University Hospital Galway for which he arrived two hours late.
Galway West Fine Gael TD Brian Walsh says Minister Reilly was forced to walk due to the delays but has vowed to reschedule the meeting with Hospice.
He says it’s high time the city’s gridlock issues were seriously addressed.
