HEAD OF ST.JARLATHS CELEBRATES YEAR OF THE PRIEST

The head of St Jarlaths in Tuam is marking worldwide celebrations for year of the priest.

Father Brendan Kilcoyne, President of St. Jarlaths Tuam celebrated the special mass in the RTE National studios which was televised this morning.

Celebrations for year of the priest began on Friday with four masses celebrated at 3pm local time through four different time zones.

These began with a mass from Sydney, Australia followed by a mass from Kerala in India.

A mass from Knock shrine was celebrated by Archbishop Michael Neary, which was then followed by a mass in New York.

This morning, Fr. Brendan Kilcoyne was joined by the Classicus Youth Chamber choir and prayed for greater courage in the worlds leaders
