Hayes & Egan join hunt for new manager

INTERVIEWS for the post of Galway senior hurling manager will take place over the next two days – Thursday and Friday – with four candidates to be interviewed each evening.

Ex-Galway hurling boss Conor Hayes and former Football Board Chairman Pat Egan have been drafted into the newly formed five-man committee appointed to interview candidates for the vacant position.

The two men join Hurling Board Chairman, Miko Ryan,Secretary, John Fahey and County Board Chairman, Gerry Larkin, on the committee as the search to find Ger Loughnane’s successor steps up.

The eight nominees for the position of Galway senior hurling manager are Michael Bond, Anthony Cunningham, Jimmy Heverin, Mattie Murphy, Noel Lane, Vincent Mullins, John McIntyre and Gerry Spelman…
