Fox Jaw return to Galway with a show in Róisín Dubh on Thursday next, November 6. The hard-rocking yet slick Limerick based band have just released their second album A Ghost’s Parade, which was produced by Dave ‘Skippy’ Christophers (Josh Ritter, Mundy, Whipping Boy.)

“We’d never really worked with a producer before,” says lead singer Ronan Mitchell. “But Dave just got us completely and he had some great ideas, he could see what we were trying to do.

“A lot of the songs on this album are different from each other, and we were a bit worried that the album might be a bit disjointed,” he adds. “You’ve got a bluesy thumper, and then a 1950s crooner song and then there’s one that sounds like a 1960s Bossa Nova track. He was really able to find the similarities between them and link them all together.”

Fox Jaw have toured all over Ireland in the past year, and are looking forward to coming to the Róisín.

“You have to hit the road and do your bit,” Ronan says. “It’s a hard slog but we enjoy doing it. It’s great to play new venues, to new people, and it’s great to play all the other venues we’ve played before, see familiar faces. We love to hit the road; it’s what makes us musicians.”
