Two Galway brothers and an inspiring Aran Islands teacher are among the technology superheroes honoured for their creativity and dedication.

Helen Ní Chríodáin from Colaiste Naomh Eoin in Inis Meáin was named ESB TechSpace Educator of the Year for her work in establishing a TechSpace programme, delivered through Irish, on the Aran Islands.

And brothers Oisín and Tom Óg Naoise Flynn from Foróige Doughiska, ARD family resource centre in Galway were honoured for their creativity in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) at the 2020 ESB Creative TechFest.

The lads took home the award ‘TechSpace Sustainability Superheros’ for their project ‘Our Epic Solar System’. The judges were hugely impressed by the innovation and use of coding for creativity in their project.
