Group from Maine travel to Connemara for DNA testing

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A group associated with a genealogy and family history project at the Irish Heritage Centre in Maine in America will arrive in Ireland today to continue their research in Connemara.

The studies in Portland in Maine are tending to show some genetic links between Connemara people and Asia and the Middle East.

The group intends carrying out further DNA tests while in Connemara.
