GREEN CITY COUNCILLOR REMAINS LOYAL TO PARTY

Galway city councillor, Niall Ó Brolcháin says he will be running as a Green party candidate in this summer’s local elections.

The confirmation comes as several other high profile Green Party members have resigned from the party.

Dublin City Councillor Bronwen Maher resigned from the organisation yesterday [thurs jan 22] following the departure on Wednesday of Cork city councillor Chris O’Leary.

The Cork councillor said he could not support a party that keeps its head down in Government.

Meanwhile former Green MEP Patricia McKenna has claimed the party is in free fall, and accused the leadership of being in denial.
