Go ahead for new medical complex in the Crescent

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The city council has agreed to allow a prominent building in the city be used as a medical centre.

John Lally has been granted planning permission for a change of use at Hanley house in the Crescent, which has a vacant ground floor and residential units on the three floors above.

Hanley house is located at the Crescent which is close to Salthill and the City Centre.

John Lally has been given the go-ahead for a change of use at the building to use existing office space as a medical centre and dispensing chemist.

12 conditions are attached, including that prior to any development the applicant must submit the hours and days of operation for both businesses.

Meanwhile, a seperate planning proposal for Hanley House is still being considered by An Bord Pleanala.

This involves changing the ground floor of the building into a restaurant.
