GO AHEAD FOR NEW COCA COLA PLANT IN TUAM BOOSTS ECONOMY

The construction of a thirty five thousand square feet distribution centre at the Coca Cola facility in Tuam has been given the green light.

Galway County Council has granted planning permission for the distribution centre as well as some office accomodation to replace the exisiting Coca Cola factory on the Galway road.

The development by John McCann properties is subject to 16 conditions.

Councillor Seán Canney says this is a step in the right direction for the North Galway economy.
