A highly controversial phone mast has got the go-ahead for Cloonlyon in Ballygar

O2 communications have been given planning permission to erect the 36metre high lattice structure with security fencing

This is despite a petition against the mast with 900 signatures being handed in to Galway County Council earlier this year
