Planning permission has been granted for a cycling and walking route between Oughterard and Clifden.

An Bord Pleanála has granted permission for the project subject to 8 conditions.

The proposed Greenway, over a distance of approximately 52 kilometres, is seen as a potential major boost for tourism in Connemara.
