GMIT graduates showcase work
An exhibition of art from the first graduates of the GMIT Masters programme in Creative Practice is currently on show in the Connacht Tribune Printworks Gallery, Market Street, and 126 Artist-Run Gallery, Woodquay.
And the show is worth checking out. The artists are diverse and the work is diverse, with a mix of paintings, prints, and installations from the group of Deirdre Deegan, Helen Garvey, Maeve Gallagher, Nicola Gunwhy, Noel Arrigan, Red Burke and Teresa Ward.
And as part of Culture Night, Deirdre Deegan will be giving a short talk on her MA exhibition tonight, Friday, at 7.30pm. It’s at the Connacht Tribune Printworks and all are welcome. Following this there will be an origami/bookbinding workshop.
The exhibition will end until this Sunday, September 24.
