Geraldine Aron hit comedy at the Town Hall

The Geraldine Aron Olivier nominated comedy drama, My Brilliant Divorce, will be staged at the Town Hall Theatre next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 24 and 25.

The one-woman show, from Verdant Productions, is directed by Andrew Flynn and will feature Tara Flynn of RTÉ’s Irish Pictorial Weekly.  It was previously a hit for Druid in London’s West End when Dawn French took on the role of Angela, a woman with a sense of decorum and humour, who has been deserted by her accountant husband for a younger model

This time Tara Flynn will play Angela as she sets out to survive and enjoy life on her own – she hopes!

But Angela is alone in a world of sneaky solicitors, unusual sexual encounters, help-line counsellors and the possibility of doing her own ironing due to new-found poverty, as she debates as to whether she should fight to keep her husband or just move on.
