GAS LEAK FORCES CLOSURE OF ONE OF GALWAY’S MAIN ROUNDABOUTS

A gas leak has forced the closure of one of the main arteries into the city.

Bord Gais has confirmed a third party contractor working at road works on the Carnmore Road next to the Oranmore Roundabout damaged a gas main today.

Galway Gardai have now closed the N18 at the Oranmore roundabout.

Repair crews are at the scene to repair the gas leak.
