Gardai seek witnesses to fatal Galway crash

Gardai have renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward in relation to the road accident which claimed the life of a 19-year-old
Castlegar woman at the weekend.

Jennifer Glynn, Ballintemple, Castlegar, had been walking home with a friend on the Monivea Road in the early hours of Sunday morning when she was hit by a taxi — she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, at University Hospital Galway.

No other person was injured in the single vehicle accident, although the taxi driver was suffering from shock after the accident.

A Garda spokesman appealed for any witnesses to the accident — or anyone in the vicinity of the Briarhill area on the Monivea Road —
to come forward and contact them.
