GARDAI INVESTIGATE CCTV FOOTAGE FOLLOWING ASSAULT ON ELDERLY WOMAN

Galway Gardaí are trawling through CCTV footage in a bid to identify the man who attacked an elderly woman in the city on New Year’s day.
A woman in her eighties suffered a prolonged attack by the man and was seriously assaulted in the incident.
