GARDAI CONTINUE TO QUESTION MAN OVER CITY ATTACK

Gardai are continuing to question a man in connection with an attack in the city centre which has left a young Galway man fighting for his life this morning.
Barry Mannion (28) of Clybaun, knocknacarra was taken to UHG following the attack but was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin yesterday afternoon.
He remains in a critical condition this morning.
It’s understood he was assaulted near a taxi rank on Dominic Street at around 3.30am yesterday.
Gardai arrested a 23 year old man yesterday afternoon and are still questioning him at Millstreet Garda Station.
