GARDAI CALLED TO SCENE OF STUDENT PROTEST IN THE CITY

Galway Gardai have been called to the scene of a student protest outside the office of Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon O’Cuiv.

About 30 students have gathered outside the office on Flood Street in the city campaigning against the possible re-introduction of third level fees.

A spokesperson for Minister O’Cuiv told Galway Bay FM News that Gardai were called over concerns for staff at the Constituency office.

Gardai are now investigating the matter and are speaking with the students outside the office.
