GARDA WATER UNIT DEPLOYED IN SEARCH FOR MISSING CITY WOMAN

The Garda Water Unit is being deployed in Galway today in the search to find missing woman Bridget Hickey

The 26 year old has been missing from her apartment in the city since 3.30am on Monday.

She spoke to her boyfriend by phone around the same time but was on her own when last seen near the Róisín Dubh bar on Dominick St

Bridget is described as 5 foot 6 inches in height, of thin build with long brown hair, which she usually wears tied up

She wears glasses and has a number of piercings in both ears and when last seen Bridget was wearing baggy blue jeans, black runners, a black hoodie and grey t-shirt.
