GARDA RECOVERING AFTER HEADFORD ROAD CRASH

A member of the Garda Traffic Corp in Galway is recovering in hospital today [6/5] following a road crash last night.

The collision between the Garda’s motorcycle and a car happened just before 10pm at Adrigoole on the Headford Road.

The Garda, who was on duty at the time, suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Galway, where he’s in a stable condition this afternoon

It’s understood the driver of the car did not need any treatment for injuries.

The scene of the crash was closed off for a time, while Garda forensic investigators carried out an examination.
