GARDA KILLED IN LOUGHREA ROAD CRASH

A young off-duty Garda has been killed in a road traffic crash near Loughrea this morning.

He’s believed to have died when his car hit a wall a mile outside Loughrea on the Tynagh road at Masonbrook at ten past five this morning.

The 24 year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
