GARDA INVESTIGATION INTO GALWAY GORSE FIRES

A Garda investigation is underway into the source of gorse fires in the Galway west region.

Salthill Gardaí say now that the gorse fires have been controlled the investigation is ‘very much active’, and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Meanwhile, the IFA is calling for homeowners to remain vigilant after five days of gorse fires in the Galway region.
