Garda appeal following break-ins at occupied homes in Ballybane

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí are appealing for information following break-ins at two occupied houses in Ballybane.
The first such incident took place at a house in Clareview Park at 1.20am last Wednesday (May 14th).
The intruder fled from the scene after being distrubed by the owner, who was woken as the intruder entered through the front door.
In a separate incident, a house in Fána Glas in Ballybane was broken into at 10.50pm on Friday (May 16th).
The homeowner disturbed a male intruder, who took a kitchen knife from the house as he fled the scene.
Garda Sergeant Peader Ryan has urged householders not to tackle intruders for their own safety.
