Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí are conducting door to door enquiries following an attempted break in at a house in the city this morning.

The search is on for three suspects following the incident which happened between 9 and 10 o’ clock at an occupied house in the Claddagh.

A young man was in the house at St. Ignatius terrace this morning when his dog began barking, alerting him to the attempted break in.

The alleged intruders broke a window at the door to the rear of the house before hearing the dog and fleeing the scene.

A neighbour witnessed three males leaving the house at the time and has given Gardaí a description of two of the suspects.

One is described as being between 13 and 15 years of age wearing dark clothing, the second is roughly 5’10 wearing a pale blue jumper.

Gardaí are now conducting door to door inquiries in the area, and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 091 53 8000.
