GALWAYS VOLVO FINALE HAILED AS VICTORY

Galway’s hosting of the final leg of the 2012 Volvo Ocean Race is being hailed as a victory.

It’s just been officially confirmed that the contract for Galway to host the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 will be signed in Dublin tomorrow.

An Taoiseach Brian Cowen and Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad will announce Galway as the final port at the Merrion Hotel at 1.30pm.
