Galway’s top honour at event industry awards

A Galway company specialising in inbound corporate travel won one of the top gongs at the prestigious annual Irish Event Industry Awards in Dublin last week.

BEM Ireland beat off stiff competition from Alltech, The Aviva Stadium, RCSI and The Croke Park Conference Centre, to scoop the award for The Best Event Team.

They were acknowledged for being “a small team managing complex events with warmth and imagination”.

The shortlisting process is a rigorous and thorough process which has resulted in only entries of the very highest standard being put forward for judging by a distinguished panel of Judges from across Ireland’s event industry along with a highly respected International panel.

Made up of Directors Eamon Howley and Averil Burke and Project Managers Laura Hester and Alan Behan, BEM Ireland had been shortlisted for two categories, Best Event Management Company and Best Event Team demonstrating depth, diversity, delivering value for money, originality and faultless execution whilst also demonstrating extraordinary teamwork and going the extra mile to wow their guests.
