Galway’s civic and religious leaders give strong message on depression

They say that while professional services play an important role there’s a responsibility on everyone to play their part
Speaking on Galway Bay fm’s annual Christmas Messages Programme Mayor of County Galway Liam Carroll says it costs nothing to listen.
Church of Ireland Reverend Gary Hastings and Presbyterian and Methodist Reverend Helen Freeburn say taking the first step is crucial.
Mayor Carroll, Reverends Hastings and Freeburn are joined on the Christmas Messages Programme by Mayor of Galway Padraig Conneely and Bishop of Galway Martin Drennan.
The 45 minute programme is presented by Head of News Bernadette Prendergast and it will be broadcast on Galway Bay fm at 6 this evening and tomorrow Christmas Day just after the 1pm news.
