Galway woman takes reins of Euro business women’s body
A Galway native will assume the European leadership of a global organisation of female business leaders.
Carmen Taheny will take on the prestigious role of Secretary of BPW (Business and Professional Women) Europe later this year.
It’s the first time that BPW Ireland has a seat at the highest level of decision making in BPW Europe.
Carmen, who is married to Tom Taheny and has three daughters, is a Corporate Account Manager with ISPCC Childline and has been advocating on behalf of children since she joined this National Charity twelve years ago.
Her election is a testament to her hard work as BPW Ireland President/ International Liaison and her delivery of the hugely successful 16th BPW European Conference in Galway in May 2019 which saw over 400 delegates from across Europe attend the conference in NUI Galway.
