GALWAY WOMAN RESCUED FROM BUNDORAN BEACH

A County Galway woman was rescued from a beach in Donegal yesterday after she was reported missing by her family.

The woman, who’s believed to be in her 50’s, sent a text message to her family at 1 o’clock yesterday morning.

Malin head Coastguard confirmed to Galway Bay FM News that the Sligo-based Sikorsky helicopter received a call at 3.20pm and located the woman on Tullan Strand, Bundoran at 4pm.

She was taken by helicopter to Sligo General Hospital suffering from suspected hypothermia.
