GALWAY WOMAN IN LANDMARK LEGAL ACTION

A deaf Galway woman is launching a landmark High court action next week after she was barred from Jury service because of her deafness.

Today’s Irish Independent is reporting Joan Clarke of Ashlawn, Loughrea is seeking an an order quashing the decision of the Galway courts excusing her from jury service in May 2006.
