GALWAY WIND PROJECTS THREATENED BY RED TAPE

Plans to develop Galway based wind energy projects are at risk from Government red-tape.

That’s the view of the Irish Wind Energy Association ahead of its annual conference at the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill today.

It says the lack of co-ordination between the different systems and agencies is threatening the future of around 80 per cent of proposed projects.
