Galway West TD clear on consequences on voting against legislation

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway West TD Brian Walsh says he is very clear on the consequences of voting against the new abortion legislation.

The Fine Gael TD says he is putting what he believes is right ahead of any personal or political gain.

Fine Gael’s Terence Flanagan, Peter Matthews and Billy Timmins have also said they will not support the Bill – and it’s speculated a further six could join their ranks, including Junior Minister Lucinda Creighton.

Speaking on Galway Talks, Brian Walsh says making the decision to vote against the bill was not an easy one..

The first Dáil vote on the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill takes place this evening.
