Galway voted Ireland’s top tourist destination

GALWAY is officially Ireland’s top domestic travel destination following the first ever Irish Consumer Travel Awards (ICTA) hosted in Dublin last week.

The Irish Consumer Travel Awards aim to celebrate the best of the travel industry as voted by the public and allows the Irish public to rate all aspects of the travel industry for each destination.

Michael Collins, one of the organisers of ICTA, described the awards as a great success and said that the Awards produced some interesting outcomes.

“The inaugural Awards were a great success. The open voting system allowed consumers to vote for their chosen location unprompted and this produced some very interesting results. It’s great to get the views of consumers, “he said.
