GALWAY TO DUBLIN TRAIN SERVICE DISRUPTED

The 6.35 am Galway to Dublin train was delayed this morning due to a protestor strapped to the railway Shannon bridge at Athlone.

The man claims he’s protesting against hospital closures.

The train returned to Ballinasloe station and passengers were bused to Athlone to resume their rail journey to Dublin.
