GALWAY THALIDOMIDE SURVIVOR REJECTS COMPENSATION DEAL

A Galway Thalidomide survivor has rejected the compensation deal offered to her.

Maggie Woods, a FAS supervisor in Tuam, joined other Thalidomide survivors at meeting at the weekend, where they unanimously rejected the package.

Last month, the Government offered survivors 66 thousand 5 hundred euro each, along with an annual payment of over 3 thousand 6 hundred euro.
