Galway teenagers sought for research project
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Teenagers in Galway, whose mother has breast cancer are encouraged to participate in a research project.
NUIG is seeking sons and daughters aged 14 to 19 for a project which aims to understand children’s response to their mother’s illness.
The research is being carried out by the Department of Psychology at NUIG.
It’ll also assess the benefits of an online skills based programme designed to help adolescents cope with the situation.
The online programme includes 8 one-hour sessions and teenagers interested in participating should contact the School of Pyschology at NUIG.
