GALWAY TD SAYS LIQUIDATION SALES MUST BE REGULATED

A Galway TD is calling on the Government to introduce legislation to regulate liquidation sales, saying that they are ‘out of control’.

Independent TD for Galway West, Noel Grealish says these sales are not always organised by businesses which are actually going into liquidation.

He also has concerns about compliance with fire and safety regulations during these sales, and questions if organisers are paying rates and taxes.
