Galway TD says former Miss World is talking bull over milk products

A Galway East backbencher is bulling at a former Miss World’s claims on the benefits of milk to the food chain.

Deputy Paul Connaughton Jnr is udder-ly raging over remarks made by Rosanna Davison – and he has now demanded that she come to visit a dairy farm in East Galway to witness first-hand how dairy products are produced.

The nutritionist, author and beauty queen has claimed that dairy products are linked to allergies and diseases.

“She suggested that dairy products are linked to allergies and diseases but this is not the case from any research I have done into the industry. Milk is part of a well balanced diet,” Deputy Connaughton added.

He has now thrown down the gauntlet to Chris de Burgh’s daughter to visit a dairy farm in East Galway.

“I would like her to see at first-hand how dairy products are produced in the West of Ireland. I completely disagree with her claims linking dairy products to disease and allergies and I believe that people should eat dairy products as part of a healthy balanced diet,” he said.
