Galway TD calls for increase in rural Post Office services

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway East TD is calling on the government to increase the range of services available in rural post offices to ease the threat of closures.
Deputy Michael Kitt made reference to Barnadearg, Caherlistrane and Cappataggle when he addressed Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte in the Dáil.
He says changes are needed to attract new business to Post Offices.
Minister Rabbitte agreed that An Post had to rise to a number of challenges raised in recent years, and said a review is currently underway on the possiblity of expanding post office services.
