Galway TD calls for end to restrictions on credit union loans

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway East T.D is calling on the government to lift restrictions on credit union loans.
Deputy Paul Connaughton says that the restrictions currently imposed by the Central Bank are ‘nonsensical’.
He says credit unions are essential to the small business sector, and need to be supported.
Deputy Connaughton says if rural Ireland is to be rejuvenated, the Central Bank will have to ease its restrictions.
