GALWAY TAXI FARES TO GO UP

The cost of taking a taxi in Galway is set to go up from the start of November.

The Commission for Taxi Regulation has given the green light for fares to increase by 8.3 percent across the country.

People using taxis during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday periods will also now be charged at the highest tariff available.
