GALWAY STUDENTS ADVISED NOT TO PANIC ABOUT ACCOMMODATION
Date Published: 11-Aug-2011
Students coming to Galway for college shouldn’t panic about finding rented accommodation.
That’s the advice of Deirdre Murphy of Threshold which is a charity that provides advice and works to secure a right to housing.
She says all of the city’s student villages are still taking on tenants and that there are also options near both NUIG and GMIT.
College terms are due to begin soon and the search for suitable accommodation has already begun.
But Deirdre Murphy says you shouldn’t feel pressured to take the first place you see.
