Eoin Dolan...new compilation album out this month.

Singer-songwriter and producer Eoin Dolan has amassed a broad and varied catalogue of music through his years at the heart of the Galway scene – but for those only discovering all of that now, there’s a short-cut on its way to a cross section of his work.  With a fluid knack for dreampop and shoegaze as well as more experimental, psychedelic projects, his records have flowed and drifted between opposing sounds and genres – usually featuring a handful of close friends turned collaborators.

And now much of that work will feature on a compilation album dating back to 2014’s Placid Ocean LP.

It is Good that We Dream is set for release on November 27. The LP will be available as a limited-edition vinyl – a format that Eoin has long wanted to embrace.

Featuring a photo of Eoin taken by Irmgard Schere and artwork designed by David Boland, the vinyl is a physical ode to the longevity of the work it showcases.

As with most things Eoin makes, the record features a host of impressive musicians and creators.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to know yourself what your best stuff is,” he admits.

“You might have songs that you have a particular attachment to and a particular fondness of but they might not be what people are looking for on the outside. I blended that in with my thoughts and put it together from that.

“Because I record all of my stuff myself along with a few friends of mine that play on it, you listen back to some of the albums and EPs and it brings you back to a place in time. You have certain memories down to individual parts being recorded. It might be a small part of a song or a particular instrument being played and it brings you back.
