GALWAY SENATOR TO LAUNCH TRAVELLER PRIDE WEEK
Galway East Senator Lorraine Higgins is to officiate at the launch of Traveller Pride Week which gets underway on Monday (May 20).
The event is a celebration of the contribution Travellers make to their own communities and to Irish society.
This includes celebrating their culture, enterprise, sporting excellence and professional expertise.
Labour Senator Lorraine Higgins will officiate at the launch of the event at the Loughrea office of Galway Traveller Movement on Monday morning at 11.
The week-long schedule includes a range of events in the city, Tuam and Ballinasloe.
