GALWAY SENATOR CONFIRMS CAR SEIZURE

Galway Fine Gael Senator Fidelma Healy Eames has confimed her car was seized last month for not having a current tax disc.

The incident happened on July 2nd at rush hour between Moneenageisha Cross and Cemetry Cross in the city.

It’s understood contractors towed the car on behalf of Gardaí.

Under road traffic legislation Gardaí are empowered to seize a car if its tax is one month or more out of date or not properly displayed.
